The students meet every couple of weeks to practice on one another what they have studied via the Internet with the instructor close by. I even heard these courses have an added social benefit since the online study groups forms a social club and when they meet for practice they also hang out together.

Well, I really cannot form an opinion about the efficiency of this studying method. I would really appreciate if someone who knows more on this topic or someone who is taking place in such a program could comment on that.
