Shopping for your new baby

Today things are different. In the past when a new baby was about to be born, most of the equipment you took from relatives or friends and then when your baby got older, you passed everything on to the next baby.

Things are very different today. Parents are into buying everything new. It is not that they cannot get along with used equipment, they jusy enjoy giving their baby new things because the baby itself is a new thing – a-“new purchase”.

It is a legitimate feeling and companies are exploiting parents’ desire to buy new things. If fact, baby products industry has expreinced around300 per cent rise in the last 2 decades.

The newset trend is buying products according to specific baby gender. Parents want to determine their baby gender when they get pregnant. As a result you can see parents going into baby products shops and asking about equipment for a baby boy or girl and they do in the first stages of pregnancy before they got a definite answer from the ultrasoung regarding the gender of their embryo. Shops are prepard for that. I have seen numerous shops that offer a prefixed packages for boys or girls.
